Samsung A-Series Repair Guide — What’s Worth Fixing
Samsung’s A-Series phones are popular for a reason — great cameras, reliable performance, and solid battery life at a fraction of flagship prices.
But what happens when something breaks? Here’s a quick guide to help you decide what’s worth fixing and what might be time to move on.
Screens — Definitely Worth Fixing
A cracked screen is the most common issue we see. The good news? A-Series screens are often far more affordable than the flagship S-Series.
For example:
A10, A12, A05, A05s, A06 screens are under $100.
A14 or A15 screens are typically under $200.
A33, A34, or A54 sit closer to $249–$299.
If the phone still works fine otherwise, a screen replacement is a smart choice — it restores full resale value and keeps your device looking like new.
Batteries — Quick and Affordable
If your A-Series is dying halfway through the day, it’s not the phone — it’s the battery.
Most replacements cost around $99, and you’ll get another couple of years out of the phone easily.
Modern batteries degrade naturally after 500+ charge cycles, so if your phone is two or three years old, this upgrade is well worth it.
Charging Ports and Buttons — Usually Worth It
If your phone only charges when the cable is angled just right, or your power button’s stuck, these are simple fixes.
A charging port clean is often all that’s needed, and a replacement (if required) is still inexpensive compared to a new phone.
Motherboard or Camera Damage — Maybe Not
Once we’re into logic board issues, liquid damage, or failing camera modules, the cost can start creeping close to replacement value.
At that point, we’ll always give you an honest recommendation — if the repair cost outweighs the phone’s value, we’ll tell you before doing anything.
The Bottom Line
If your Samsung A-Series phone is:
Less than three years old
Still running smoothly
Just cracked, slow, or losing charge
Then it’s almost always worth repairing.
We keep parts in stock for most A-Series models, and repairs typically take under two hours.
