After a Screen Replacement: 5 Tips to Keep Your New Display Perfect
You’ve just had your screen replaced — it’s smooth, clear, and looks brand new again.
Here’s how to keep it that way for as long as possible.
Let the Adhesive Set Properly
After a screen replacement, the adhesive holding your new display needs time to fully cure.
Avoid bending, pressing, or putting your phone under pressure for the first 24 hours — especially in pockets or tight cases.
Use a Screen Protector
A tempered glass screen protector adds a layer of impact resistance and prevents micro-scratches.
It’s inexpensive and, if it breaks, you can simply replace the protector — not the whole screen.
(And yes, we can fit one for you in-store, bubble-free.)
Avoid Cheap Charging Cables
Low-quality or damaged charging cables can cause voltage spikes, which may affect display performance or cause ghost touches.
Stick with reputable, certified cables — or pop in to grab one that’s guaranteed to play nice with your phone.
Keep It Cool (and Dry)
Extreme heat, moisture, or steam can weaken adhesive and damage your new display.
Avoid leaving your phone in hot cars, near showers, or on sunny dashboards — a cool, dry environment keeps the display crisp and the bonding strong.
Handle With Clean Hands
It sounds simple, but oil and debris from your hands can slowly wear down coatings and reduce screen clarity.
Wipe your screen gently with a microfibre cloth, never paper towels or cleaning sprays.
